The dream job.
After returning home from the big apple I had decided I was on a roll. I needed another adventure. I was offered a merchandising position with BCBG MaxAzria in Los Angeles, CA! Once again a massive city that I had never been to. But challenge accepted.
I joined the BCBG team as the newest merchandising intern. I was the only intern doing the merchandising, so the responsibilities and expectations were high. I was in charge of merchandising the employee boutique, running the 400,000 unit warehouse sale, and helping out with anything else along the way.
BCBG Warehouse Sale July 2014
The Warehouse sale consisted of 2 weeks straight 14 hour days. It was a lot of work. It was exhausting. But it was unbelievably the most fun I had ever had. We started with swtting up the warehouse (months in advance), Creating the signage and price sheets for all of the cashiers (over 40) next came the sale. The sale was an absolute mad house, with people lined up around the perimeter of the already massive ware house building at the crack of dawn. The sale was an absolute success, and to be apart of that team was truly a dream. |
This internship had by far been the most work I had ever put in to something. In return I was rewarded with one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was fortunate enough to work along side compassionate, driven role models that used my energy and love for the industry to the fullest. I was given more responsibilities as time progressed and I knew that this is what I was meant for. I was made for high energy, fast paced, creative field, and that is exactly what I intend to do.
